My resent 3D Sculpture
Updated: Oct 18
For the past several years, I have been working on a series of three-dimensional wall sculptures and freestanding sculptural forms made primarily from handmade paper and mixed media supported by aluminum mesh. The works vary significantly in scale and can take the form of wall-mounted pieces, freestanding sculptures, or suspended mobile-like constructions.
Their physical presence ranges from rigid and structurally robust to delicate and fragile, reflecting an ongoing exploration that has characterized much of my work with paper over the past decade. Through the use of handmade paper in its various forms, I continue to investigate the expressive and transformative potential of the material.
Parádeisos (Paradise), a title derived from the Greek word for "paradise," is an example of this body of work. The piece embodies both the technical processes and the material experimentation that form the foundation of my studio practice. It reflects my sustained interest in transformation, structure, and the poetic possibilities inherent in humble materials.
Paradiso is 104x 41x15 mixed media work: paper, hand made paper, aluminum, 2025
